A service club which brings together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. It is a secular organization open to all persons regardless of race, colour, creed, gender or political preference. The club has implemented numerous successful projects serving the community at large.<\/p>

Rotary Bengaluru IT Corridor (RBITC) is based out of Whitefield and is engaged in various social initiatives in and around Bengaluru. In the last seven years of its existence, it has implemented and conducted several Community Service Projects:<\/p>

  • \u00a0Work with 16 Government schools in the Whitefield area (covering 3,000+ kids)<\/strong><\/li>
  • Conduct blood donation camps regularly (last year collected over 8,000 units)<\/strong><\/li>
  • Sponsored corrective surgeries for ‘bread winners’ with permanent vertebral deformation<\/strong><\/li>
  • Work with the local population in arresting glaucoma and other eye ailments<\/strong><\/li>
  • EPIC – Epilepsy Prevention and Integrated Care. <\/strong>

    A multidisciplinary approach to give free medical & surgical treatment to patients with Epilepsy in economically weaker sections of society.<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Adoption Of A Government School<\/h3>

    RBITC has been working with the management of the Imidahalli High School (with 695 students) for interventions at multiple levels \u2013 infrastructure, science & computer labs, potable drinking water, upgrading toilet facilities, library & books, teachers\u2019 training, conducting classes through volunteers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Integrated Village Development<\/h3>

    RBITC has adopted a village near Hoskote (B. Thimmasandra) for \u201cIntegrated Village Development\u201d. This will involve interventions in the areas of healthcare, education, water, sanitation, livelihood and skill development. We have already conducted a medical camp for all the residents (108 families) of the village.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Lighting For Literacy (Lfl)<\/h3>

    In partnership with Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club, California. This project has been showcased in the Whitehouse and focuses on providing Solar Lighting to schools for underprivileged children and orphanages.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Potable Water Project For A Village<\/h3>

    This will cater to almost 20,000 people, including government schools in the vicinity. This will be set up in a village with active support of the Panchayat, who will donate land and provide water supply. The purification of water will be done by adopting the advanced Reverse Osmosis technology.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
