Bharat Midnight Marathon, formerly known as the Be

Bharat Midnight Marathon, formerly known as the Bengaluru Midnight Marathon, is Asia's oldest night marathon and one of my favourite events on the running calendar.

I've been fortunate to be part of this incredible event over the years: 2018 – Half Marathon, 2019 – Full Marathon, 2022 – Half Marathon, 2023 – Full Marathon, 2024 – Full Marathon, 2025 – Full Marathon.

Running through the night while the rest of the world is asleep is a truly unique experience.

The calm atmosphere, cool weather and vibrant energy on the course make it unlike any other race.

Being an AIMS-certified event, the route is well measured and completely free from traffic, allowing runners to focus purely on their race.

Hydration at every kilometer, enthusiastic volunteers, music along the route and multiple stalls create a festive atmosphere from start to finish.

The event offers something for everyone, with categories of 5K, 10K, 21.1K, 31.6K and 42.2K, making it suitable for beginners as well as experienced marathoners.

My second-best marathon timing came at this event in 2024, which speaks volumes about the quality of the route and organization.

I would highly recommend every runner to experience the Bharat Midnight Marathon.
