Race Day

SEVEN RACES – ONE NIGHT – WHICH ONE IS YOURS

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY

3K Fun Run (Non-Timed) – At your won pace, with your own people, have FUN.

The 3K Run is a community event that brings people together to promote health, fitness, and the global mission to eradicate polio, illiteracy or war. Every step taken symbolizes our commitment to a peaceful world. Open to participants of all ages, the run celebrates unity, service, and Rotary’s unwavering dedication to ensure ‘Service before Self’.

5K Fun Run (Non-Timed) – Walk it, jog it, dance through it. A pure celebration of movement and night energy.

The 5K Fun Run is the flagship event of BMM. It is the event that has the maximum participation with thousands turning up for it. This is an event for people who aren’t professional or serious long distance runners and are looking to improve or maintain their general physical fitness. Like all physical activity, regular 5K runs can improve cardiovascular function and reduce body fat, as well as having mental health benefits.

Fast 5K (Timed) – Short distance, race the clock. Ideal for runners seeking high speed or checking their baseline pace.

Running a timed 5K is a great way to challenge yourself if you’re already a Runner, or to set a goal for yourself if you’re starting to run for the first time. Pace yourself as you build your speed, endurance, and strength, but also be sure to challenge yourself along the way.

ELEVATE THE CHALLENGE

10K Run (Timed) – The ultimate crowd favourite. A fantastic test of endurance that pairs high energy with community competition.

The 10K Run is the T20 Cricket of Marathons across the world. Immensely popular, this event has taken the world by storm. This is an event for people who aren’t professional, but are serious long distance runners and yet to come to terms with a full Marathon.

Half Marathon (Timed) – Run under the beautiful night sky. A stellar distance that demands preparation, grit and passion.

A Half Marathon is a road running event of 21.0975 km. (13 miles 192.5 yards)—half the distance of a marathon. A half marathon world record is officially recognised by the International Association of Athletics Federations. Participation in half marathons has grown steadily since 2003, partly because it is a challenging distance, but does not require the same level of training that a marathon does.

CONQUER THE NIGHT

31.6K Run (Timed) – A race distance designed for ultra-marathon prep and fearless pacing.

If you can run a Half, you are well on your way to being able to run 42.195 km. The 31.6K Run is a road running event of 31.65 km.  This all new entrant distance has taken the worlds fancy as  the  stepping-stone towards running a Full Marathon.

Full Marathon (Timed) – The absolute peak challenge. Complete 42 km. as twilight turns to dawn. The whole night is yours.

The Marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of 42.195 km. (26 miles 385 yards), usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. The marathon can be completed by running or with a run/walk strategy.

Annually, more than 900 marathons are organised worldwide. Some of these, like Bharat Midnight Marathon are members of Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) which has grown since its foundation in 1982 to embrace over 446 member events in 111 countries and territories.
